What it does (and doesn't)
One tap on the wrist. An alert on your phone in seconds.
Tap SoS is a simple SOS button worn like a wristband. When it is pressed, everyone in the family who has the free Smart Life or Tuya Smart app gets an instant alert, so someone can call or check in right away.
How it works
- Press the big SOS button. No screen, no menus, nothing to remember.
- The wristband connects to your home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) once, during setup.
- Every family member with the app gets a push notification with sound. On iPhone it can break through silent mode and Do Not Disturb when Critical Alerts are allowed.
- A low-battery reminder tells you when it is time to charge.
Good to know
- It does not call 911/000 or a monitoring center. It alerts your family so they can act.
- It works within range of the home Wi-Fi. No GPS, no SIM card, no monthly fees.
- It does not detect falls by itself. The button has to be pressed.
- The wearer doesn't need a phone. The people receiving alerts do.

Customer reviews
What our customers say
Perfect for wearing around the house. The battery lasts for months, which is wonderful. I only gave it 4 stars because I have to remember to take it off before I get in the shower.

I love how light this is, and it doesn't look like a clunky medical device. I just press the big button if I need my son—no confusing screens to deal with!

Finally, a reliable alert system without a $40 monthly subscription! The 'Critical Alert' feature on my iPhone wakes me up even when my phone is on silent. An absolute lifesaver.
By Michelle P. Verified purchase-
This has been a really solid investment for my mom's independence at home. The push notification is loud and works flawlessly on our Wi-Fi network. My only complaint is that it’s only splash-resistant (IP65) and not fully waterproof for bathing. The shower is where we worry about her slipping the most, so it's a bummer she has to take it off to bathe. Still, for the price and the fact that there's no monthly fee or SIM card required, it's a fantastic safety net for the rest of the house.

Works exactly as described. Setup was quick, and the push notifications are loud. My favorite feature is that the app alerts me when the battery gets low, so I can just call my dad and remind him to plug it in!

I don't own a smartphone and I didn't want a complicated watch. This is just one button on a comfortable strap. It gives me confidence knowing my daughter will be alerted immediately if I need her while I'm home alone.

For the family
You can't always be there. Now you'll always know.

Good to know
Honest answers
Does it call 911 / 000?
No. It sends an alert to the phones of family members who have the free app, so they can call, check in or call emergency services. It is not a monitored medical alarm.
Do I need Wi-Fi?
Yes. It connects to your home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and works anywhere within its range. It doesn't work outside the home and has no GPS. If the Wi-Fi or internet is down, alerts can't be sent.
Does the wearer need a phone?
No. They only press the button. The people who receive the alerts need a smartphone with the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.
How many people get the alert?
Everyone you share the device with in the app, so the whole family can be notified at once.
Is there a subscription?
No. The apps are free and there are no monthly fees.
Does it detect falls automatically?
No. The SOS button has to be pressed. That keeps it simple and avoids false alarms.
Will I hear it if my phone is on silent?
On iPhone, alerts can break through silent mode and Do Not Disturb when you allow Critical Alerts for the app. On Android, alerts arrive as regular notifications, so keep notifications on for the app.
Can it be worn in the shower?
It is splash-resistant (IP65): hand washing and rain are fine, but take it off for bathing, showering or swimming.
How long does the battery last?
Months of standby on one charge (up to 6 months per the manufacturer, depending on use). It charges by USB in about an hour, and the app tells you when the battery is low.
